Hi everyone, it’s Kevin borrowing Jackson’s newsletter and blog space…Jackson has a lot of kart coaching and race prep for Mid Ohio going on right now, so I’ll take over to make everyone aware of a fun event coming up on Brickyard weekend at the end of July that will raise a nice amount of money for a very worthy cause.
Once again this year, INDYCAR will be joining NASCAR on Brickyard weekend at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway on the road course from July 29-31. And, for the second year we will be helping with the Brickyard Prelude Party at Prime 47 Downtown benefiting the Survivors of Violence Foundation on Thursday night July 28th.
Tickets are available here: https://www.forecheckmktg.com/purchase/brickyard-prelude-individual-tickets
Dr. Greg Chernoff of Chernoff Cosmetic Surgery has been a very gracious supporter of Jackson and we want to help the foundation he started in any way we can. The Survivors of Violence Foundation began after a survivor of the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing, Royia Grizzell, was referred to Dr. Chernoff. Dr. Chernoff’s research and success in reducing scars and dealing with injuries was a motivating factor in starting a foundation to provide free treatment for Royia Grizzell and other victims of violence, including victims of domestic violence, who see a reminder of their traumatic experience whenever looking in the mirror.
If you attended last year, this will be a slightly different format. It will have a more relaxed and party-like atmosphere. There won’t be a sit down dinner so guests have a better chance to mingle with the INDYCAR and NASCAR drivers and other guests. I’ll be helping to recruit some drivers and some of my NBC co-workers. But, several other supporters have strong ties to drivers and a few other guests of interest. There will also be a live performance from well known Indiana-based country/rock performer Clayton Anderson.
Individual tickets are $150 and there are also tax deductible sponsor packages available for the event through Brent Cox of Cox, Beckman, Goss CPAs. We can connect you with Brent if you have interest. Let us know if you have any questions by sending a note to JacksonLeeRacing@gmail.com.
