New Castle Motorsports Park-KRA #6

Last weekend’s race at New Castle Motorsports Park was one of the hottest races I’ve ever been a part of. Track temperatures of up to 150 degrees meant we were working really hard to keep from melting the tires.

In race one, I was able to qualify in 5thposition but got moved up to fourth for the start of the race. A mistake on the start caused me to drop back to 5thbut I was quickly able to recover and make my way up to third. I was gaining on the leaders, but we ran out of laps to catch up, ending my race in third.

In race two, I spent most of the race running in 4th. With the extreme conditions causing the tires to overheat.

It was good to get back in the kart for the first time in a while. We will be back in the formula car with the Lucas Oil School of Racing July 15-17 at New Jersey Motorsports Park to defend my lead in the points.

Thanks to all of my supporters, including Caldwell Realty, Caldwell Subways, and Ron Funkhouser for the setup.
